CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla — Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving a Charlotte County Deputy.
Troopers say it happened around 1:40 am on Saturday.
They say the deputy was driving the CCSO patrol car south on U.S 41 in the center lane.
Troopers say he was approaching the intersection with Conway Boulevard.
A 37-year-old woman was also traveling in an SUV south on U.S 41 in the outside lane.
Investigators say she was also approaching the intersection with Conway Boulevard.
Troopers say the deputy attempted to turn right from the center lane and ended up hitting the left front of the woman's SUV.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
