LEE COUNTY, Fla. — We are learning that the trial of a former nurse accused of sexually assaulting a patient has been pushed back.
Lee Health fired the suspect Jeovanni Hechavarria when the allegations first surfaced in July 2016.
His trial was supposed to start today but attorneys said they needed more time.

Hechavarria is accused of forcing himself on a patient then threatening her if she told anyone.
The Department of Health restricted Hechavarria’s nursing license.
His trial is now expected to start October 29th.
