SANIBEL, Fla. — The City of Sanibel is notifying residents of heavy traffic times during the day.
There has been more than 6, 049 vehicles that have entered Sanibel as of this morning.
As a result of this volume, Sanibel's residents should expect heavy vehicular traffic on-island for the remainder of the day.
Motorists should expect heavy traffic delays exiting the island this afternoon and into the early evening.
Sanibel Police Chief Bill Dalton urges everyone to "be patient." Our number one priority is safety.
