LEE COUNTY, Fla.  — These days, getting a workout looks a lot different for people than it did before COVID-19 came on the scene. For many, going to the gym to work out is not an option right now as they are trying to maintain social distancing and stay healthy, so at home, workouts have become all the rage.

The only problem with working out at home without an instructor nearby is that you might be doing an exercise wrong, which could lead to injury, or you might even be pushing yourself too hard for your good.

Sarah Peterson from the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at Florida Gulf Coast University says one easy fix is tapping into an instructor virtually. Many trainers have changed their business model and will zoom or Facetime with you while you're burning those calories to make sure you have proper form and help you with any modifications.

Peterson also says it's important not to push yourself too hard. How do you know if you're doing that? And what's one exercise you need to ease into while working out at home? Watch her full interview to find out.

Happy exercising, and don't forget to hydrate!
