NAPLES, Fla. — Florida Highway Troopers responded to a crash where two women died, and three were seriously injured on Livingston Road and Golden Gate Pkwy. Saturday night.
Authorities said the accident involved a pick-up truck and a van.
The pick-up truck driver traveled south on northbound Livingston Road as the other driver traveled north on the same road, approaching Golden Gate Parkway.
Investigators said the 43-year-old driver of the pick-up truck crashed into the van.
Troopers said the 25-year-old Naples woman driving the van died on the scene, and a 26-year-old Naples woman in the car was taken to the hospital where she died.
The other two female passengers in the van had serious injuries.
Troopers said the pick-up driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Troopers suspect alcohol to be involved, and criminal charges are pending for the pick-up truck driver.
