FORT MYERS, Fla. -- We are working to get more information about a threatening note that surfaced online over the weekend mentioning a Southwest Florida school.
It appears to be targeting students at Fort Myers High School.
It warns that "I'm coming to school Monday with a bomb, so you better cancel school Monday or I'll get all them cute little freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors."
According to an email sent into to Fox 4 it has been turned over to authorities. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office does not believe the threat has any credibility.
A school district spokesperson says there will be extra security on campus Monday.
