A Cape Coral man was sound asleep when thieves entered his home and stole a television inches away from where he slept, according to a Cape Coral incident report.

Scott Wynn told Four In Your Corner he randomly woke up around 4 a.m. and noticed the missing television as he was heading to his kitchen.

"You feel a little sick like somebody was here, right there!," said Wynn.

He says he dosed off around 1 a.m. and believes the crooks entered his home through his garage door which he left open.

"I was sleeping in the spare bedroom over here, said Wynn. "My head was right there by those pillows," he added.

The bedroom Wynn slept in is adjacent to his living room, where the thieves stole his 50 inch t.v.

"I'm sure they looked and said, 'oh! he's asleep,' and then [they] went around the corner and grabbed the t.v. It is freaky to think about, it's scary" said Wynn.

The thieves made off with a 50 inch Sceptre t.v. and an LG cell phone.

"You still were bold enough to come in, knowing the lights were on? So to me that's even more scary, realizing that they possibly expected a confrontation," said Wynn.
