CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Two juveniles were arrested over the weekend, accused of armed vehicle burglaries in northwest Cape Coral.

According to Cape Coral Police, the burglaries happened in the 400 block of NW 19th Street, where several unlocked vehicle burglaries were reported.

Video surveillance from the area showed an armed suspect, carrying a handgun, entering unlocked cars.

Further investigation led to the arrests of a 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old male.

Fox 4 does not identify juveniles that are arrested unless they are charged as adults.

Both were arrested and charged with Armed Burglary of a Conveyance, and Petit Theft.

The gun seen in the surveillance video, which was listed stolen, was also recovered.

Both teens were transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center, with additional charges pending.
