Teenager arrested for fleeing police after crash Wednesday in Lehigh Acres

LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- An arrest has been made after an early morning incident in Lehigh Acres Wednesday.

The 15-year-old suspect has been charged with Fleeing and Eluding.  Fox 4 does not identify minors unless they are being charged as an adult.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, two people were being followed by deputies as they drove a stolen car away from a possible abduction at the 7-Eleven on Lee Boulevard.

The car crashed into a marshy area and the two males inside fled on foot.  They were quickly apprehended and found to have gunshot wounds.  They were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Thursday, the Lee County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of the teen.  No word yet on any other arrests.
