LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Detectives have arrested a 17-year-old female for Attempted First Degree Murder for her role in a botched robbery that led to the shooting of a Lehigh Acres man outside his home.
The teen is charged with attempted first degree murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
Fox 4 does not identify minors who are arrested unless they are charged as an adult.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened on December 8th in front of a home on Robert Avenue.
Through extensive investigation, detectives determined that the teen had visited the victim, 23-year-old Colt Minko, at his home. As Minko walked the teen to her vehicle, he was shot and robbed.
Minko ws taken to the hospital, and is still recovering from his injuries.
Detectives believe there are other suspects involved in this incident, and request the public’s assistance in the investigation.
