Suspect sought in Punta Gorda residential burglaries

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- Deputies are searching for a suspect in residential burglaries overnight in a Punta Gorda community.

The burglaries were interrupted at 1:41 am Tuesday in the Heritage Landing community off Burnt Store Road north of Zemel Road.

According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, two suspects were taken into custody.

However, a third suspect, believed to be 39-year-old Alexander Santiesteban, fled the scene. He is a heavy set Hispanic male and was last seen wearing black shorts, a blue shirt, green sneakers and a blue hat.

He may still be on foot in the area. Please contact CCSO immediately if you observe this suspect or have information on his location.
