LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Parents and students at South Fort Myers High School are seeing extra deputies on campus Friday after a fake letter about a shooting threat has been circulating on social media.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office says the fraudulent letter appears to have come from the Lee County School District.

They are investigating who exactly is responsible for the threat, and assure us there is no evidence to support the threat.

But as a precaution, additional deputies have been assigned to the school.
