NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. -- We're following breaking news out of North Fort Myers Thursday morning, where a house caught fire.
Firefighters tell Fox 4 that they do not believe anyone was inside this home.
It’s on the corner of Monterey Street and Woodward Avenue in North Fort Myers. That’s in the Palmona Park community.
The call came in just before 6 a.m. Thursday, and at least 9 units responded to the scene.
We have not yet gotten any word on what the cause of the fire was.
**UPDATE (8:10am)** -- Authorities tell Fox 4 that the fire is being considered suspicious and the house is a total loss. The State Fire Marshal is on the way to the scene.
