LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- The Lee County Sheriff's Office is on the scene of a fatal stabbing investigation in North Fort Myers.
It's happening along Pineapple Lane near the intersection of Pine Island Road and U.S. 41.
At a press conference Thursday, Sheriff Carmine Marceno said that just before noon, deputies responded to a disturbance and arrived to find a male dead from an apparent stab wound.
A person of interest at the scene has been detained and is being questioned.
Marceno says this was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.
