CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- One person was hospitalized after a reported stabbing in a rural Punta Gorda neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.
It was happening at a home along Bending Willow Court in the Prarie Creek Park ranch community off Washington Loop Road.
According to the Charlotte County sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the scene around 12:25 p.m. for a reported stabbing and barricaded suspect.
Deputies say the scene is now contained.
UPDATE (2:45PM) -- Deputies say a female barricaded suspect is in custody.
The stabbing victim is in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
