Southwest Florida International Airport wasn't as busy as some expected! Almost every flight was on time and travelers say the traffic to and from RSW was light.
Travelers say the security lines moved fairly quickly and the airport wasn't crowded.
New York resident, Pauline, says she was "pleasantly surprised at the traffic especially since it's the day before Thanksgiving."
Two grandparents, Marian and Ken told FOX 4 they had to make several trips to Southwest Florida International Airport today to pick up their grandchildren but they say they didn't mind. "Anything for my grandkids" Ken Selmsberger says "it's a tradition we've been doing for ten years."
Mackenzie Hamblette, a Florida Gulf Coast University student says she hasn't seen her family in almost six months-- she finally saw them today. "Seeing my family is the best thing ever, I miss them all the time" Hamblette said. "I'm so happy they're here.
