CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- An Englewood woman died Thursday in a single-car crash on S. McCall Road.
Troopers say it happened at 2:27 p.m.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, 63-year-old Betty Mitchell was driving westbound approaching San Casa Drive when she drove off the roadway for unknown reasons.
Her car crossed over the curb and crashed into a concrete pole.
Mitchell was taken to Bayfront Port Charlotte Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
