FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. -- After hitting a bump in the road, a sidewalk project planned for Fort Myers Beach may soon be back underway.
The town council set aside $165,000 to put in a concrete sidewalk along the beach side of Estero Boulevard from the Lani Kai resort to Times Square near the pier.
The construction company set to do the job instead declined it, but the town manager can award the project to another bidder.
