Shoe store damaged by car overnight in Fort Myers

LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- New images coming into the Fox 4 newsroom shows a crash in Fort Myers shows the aftermath of a car slamming into a shoe store.

This happened overnight Monday night at the Payless Shoes store on North Cleveland Avenue just north of Winkler Avenue.

No word yet on possible injuries or whether that store will be back open Tuesday.

That store by the way, is one of 2100 Payless stores nationwide that will be permanently closing.

The company made that announcement just this last Friday.
