FORT MYERS BEACH -- Investigators say that no crime was committed last week after speaking to the woman who claimed there was a sexual assault on the beach.
According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, the sexual assault was reported on Friday night, when a woman says she left the Lani Kai for a walk on the beach with a man who sexually assaulted her along with another man.
The LCSO Major Crimes Special Victims Unit were called to the scene to investigate and interviewed everybody involved.
Investigators determined that no crime was committed and that the woman was "there meeting with one of the males."
The woman has withdrawn her complaint.
