CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Country Club Boulevard in Cape Coral was shut down Friday morning due to a nasty wreck.
The crash happened at around 1:45 a.m. at the intersection of Country Club Boulevard and Southeast 34th Street.
At least one person was taken to the hospital with serious head injuries.
A Fox 4 crew at the scene reports a BMW and a Honda CRV were involved in the crash.
Cape Coral Police Major Crash Investigators and a Forensics team are at the scene.
Police say the road re-opened around 8 a.m, after traffic was being routed around the scene through neighborhood streets for several hours.
