CAPE CORAL, Fla. --
UPDATE
Del Prado Boulevard Northbound remains closed. Two vehicles were traveling Northbound and one hit an electric pole.
There were no fatalities reported and 3 people were transported to the hospital.
They are hoping the scene will be cleared by 5:15 PM.
The crash is still under investigation.
Police say a serious crash on Del Prado Boulevard north in Cape Coral is blocking the northbound lanes.
It's in the 1400 block of Del Prado Boulevard South. That's south of Viscaya Parkway.
Police say there are injuries in the crash, which happened around 1:30 p.m. There are reports of a car fire at the scene.
They say northbound traffic is being diverted around the crash, and is expected to remain that way for several hours.
