LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Police are still searching for Santiago Gomez from Lehigh Acres who's been missing since last Tuesday.

The 20-year-old was last seen working at his job at Chili's on Six-Mile Cypress.

Coworkers tell Fox4 they are heartbroken over this.

Some employees said off camera that Santiago is friendly and great to work with and they hope the police find him soon.

Gomez has been missing for about a week. Police said he never returned home after work.

A person who claims to be his sister reached out to Fox 4 said the family has no leads.

She said right now, the family is upset, and she wants her brother to return home.

According to his Facebook page, Gomez graduated from East Lee County High School.

Earlier Monday, Lee County deputies and Fort Myers Police were searching a pond at the corner of Forum Blvd. and Warrior Way in Fort Myers.

Fox 4 is working to find out if that search was at all in connection with this missing person case.

Police said Gomez drives a Blue Toyota Rav 4 with the Florida tag EMHU17.

They said he's Hispanic with brown hair, brown eyes, and about 5 feet 5 inches tall.

If you have any information about this case, you are urged to call the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
