COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — The Collier County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help with a suspicious encounter between a man and a juvenile in Golden Gate.

The juvenile told deputies that a black male in his 20s approached her Tuesday afternoon asking for her name and phone number and details about her after-school activities.

She said the man told her she could come work for him to earn some money and that they could hang out together.

The conversation made a girl uncomfortable, and she reported it to her Youth Relations Bureau deputy on Wednesday.

We are asking for the public's help identifying the man.

The Sheriff’s Office says the suspect was wearing a black T-shirt, black pants, and an orange traffic vest.

He was also wearing a black do-rag on his head. The incident took place along the 4900 block of Golden Gate Parkway.

CCSO has increased patrols in the area.
