Officers are searching for a masked suspect following a robbery that took place at a gas station early Monday morning.
It happened at approximately 3:12 am at the 7-Eleven located at the intersection of Colonial Blvd. and Deleon St.
The suspect, wearing all black, entered the gas station brandishing a handgun and demanding money from the cash register and cigars from behind the counter.
The suspect later fled on foot.
A helicopter is now circling the area of Matthew Drive and Barkley Circle searching for the suspect who was last seen running westbound towards the Bowling Green Subdivision.
This is an ongoing investigation.
