The Lee County School District took action after a fight erupted at East Lee County High School in Lehigh Acres.
The district increased security with more police and district personnel to make sure Wednesday's incident doesn't repeat itself.
"A lot of security, more cops there," said Blake Whitlock, as he left school. "We were on lockdown," he added.
A spokesperson from the school district emailed 4 In Your Corner the following statement. "We have extra security and district personnel on campus today and like the vast majority of days at ELCHS, no incidents have been reported."
Students and parents were worried about the unreported cases of violence.
"I saw six or seven, actually eight fights, I think," said Asaf Martinez, when he reflected how common fights were at his school.
ELCHS students did feel safer inside with the security. They wish people wouldn't associate the fight video with their school.
"It was something that shouldn't have happened," said Whitlock. "East is better than that it's not the teacher's fault, it's the students," he added.
