The Southwest Florida Community Foundation says they haven't had many applicants, and there are still scholarships up for grabs.
There are $500,000 for 100 students from Southwest Florida counties.
Scholarships are available for local high school students, undergraduates, and graduate students. They are students in the Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee Counties.
Applications are being accepted by December 17th and are required to have a FAFSA form.
Beginning December 17, 2018, students can apply for scholarships through the Foundation's online portal at www.floridacommunity.com/scholarships.
