SANIBEL, Fla. -- The City of Sanibel is reminding residents that all holiday lights and decorations must be removed by Thursday, according to city code.
Section 106-3 of the city's Code of Ordinances allows holiday decorations to be exempt from sign regulations, but only from the day before Thanksgiving through January 9th. This includes decorations which are "clearly incidental and customary and commonly associated with any national, local or religious holiday."
