Roberts Avenue shutdown due to road work

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. --- Collier County Growth Management Department will be closing Roberts Avenue to install new water lines. 

Lane closures for Roberts Avenue between State Road 29 and 1st Street in Immokalee will be reduced to one lane only for approximately three weeks beginning from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m..

Construction crews will be installing new water lines as part of Immokalee Water Line Replacement Project. Drivers can can expect lane closures at the following intersections with Roberts Avenue as the work passes each side street along this route:

  • 11th Street
  • 9th Street 
  • 8th Street 
  • 7th Street 
  • 6th Street 
  • 5th Street 
  • 4th Street 
  • 3rd Street 
  • 2nd Street 

Local traffic will be accommodated with detour routes posted along the way. Flagmen, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist drivers in the area.
