People in the Lely Country Club section of Naples say drivers are using their neighborhood as a cut through, many of them aren't obeying the speed limit.
"Never a dull moment, they are just constantly cutting through," said Jerry Greene, who's lived along St. Andrews Boulevard for the past 2 years.
Greene and other residents say drivers are taking advantage of a short cut between Rattlesnake Hammock Road and Tamiami Trail, that leads right past Greene's doorstep.
"People sit on you, the back of your car, if you are doing the speed limit, then when they go by you they give you the middle finger," said Greene.
Greene says getting the middle finger isn't the worst of his problems, he's seen drivers pass others using the bike lane.
All this happening within a mile of where a Connecticut woman was struck and killed last month while walking along St. Andrews.
Deputies were monitoring traffic in the neighborhood Thursday afternoon, but Greene says the issue is so bad, he's afraid to let his wife go outside. "I'm totally upset, scared, I mean I don't go outside that much, but my wife and the dogs are outside, and I'm worried about them."
County officials say they will recommend a 4-way stop be installed at the intersection of St. Andrews and Wildflower Way. But Spokesperson Kate Albers says installing a roundabout to slow traffic won't happen for several years because there isn't money in the budget for it.
