PUNTA GORDA, Fla. -- The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested a woman who they say was trying to hide meth inside a hollowed out soft drink can.
In a news release the department says around 11:30 Monday morning, they arrested Rachel Lea Gibbs is charged with Driving while License Suspended, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
They say this happened at the Circke K on Marlympia Way.
They say the deputy patrolling recognized Gibbs and found she was driving on a suspended license.
After arresting her on that, deputies searched her car and say they found 2 baggies of meth in a cup holder, and a third in a hollowed out Arizona Iced Tea can.
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s website, Gibbs posted a $2,500 bond. There was no date set on when she would head to court.
