PUNTA GORDA, Fla — The City of Punta Gorda wants people to avoid trick or treating in neighborhoods other than their own.
This is due to the risks of COVID-19 spreading.
Festivities that would normally occur at City Hall Annex canceled and the police department won't be closing streets or adding traffic control measures in city neighborhoods or the Historic District.
To increase safety in Punta Gorda, there will be extra traffic and Driving Under the Influence enforcement patrols throughout the night.
