LEE COUNTY, Fla. — There is a new program in Lee County, helping those with disabilities live happier, more productive, and independent lives.

This morning, the Lee Association for Remarkable Citizens, also known as LARC, opened phase one of its new program.

It is a lab that has an apartment-style set up with a bedroom, kitchen, and living area.

It is supposed to help enhance daily living skills for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

They learn how to cook, clean, and more.

The organization still has four more phases to complete.
