Three people have been detained, according to Fort Myers Police.
Emergency units are clearing the scene and Franklin Park is being reopened.

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Police are on the scene of a possible hostage situation near an elementary school.
This is happening in the area of Ellington Court, off Henderson Avenue.
Nearby Franklin Park Elementary is on precautionary lockdown, but police say students are not in danger.
FMPD negotiation teams are establishing contact with an individual barricaded in a house and patrols are alerting nearby residents.
Traffic is being routed away from the area, pleased seek alternate routes.
