PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- From 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Friday, a Port Charlotte restaurant will be raising money for the family of a teen who drowned last weekend.
Uncle Nick's Pizza says they will be giving 100% of their proceeds to the Marcelin family.
That's according to their Facebook page. They're calling it "Gody's Day."
Last weekend, 15-year-old Gody Marcelin drowned at Gasparilla Island State Park during a church youth group event.
Deputies say he did not know how to swim and got caught in a rip current.
Uncle Nick’s Pizza is at 3880 Tamiami Trail Suite A in Port Charlotte.
