FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Police used surveillance cameras to arrest a man accused of stealing items from a van in downtown Fort Myers.
47-year-old John Redwick was arrested Thursday and charged with Burglary of a Conveyance.
According to Fort Myers Police, officers were notified of a man stealing items from a van parked near Jackson Street.
Investigators reviewed video from surveillance cameras in the area and recognized the suspect as Redwick.
Hours later, he was located and arrested.
Police remind citizens to always lock unattended vehicles to discourage theft.
