FORT MYERS, Fla.  — The Fort Myers Police Department is still searching for the person responsible for firing more than 50 shots in the parking lot of Edison Mall.

It happened back in 2011 on December 23 around 9 p.m. outside of the entrances of Macy's and JCPenny.

Police say 25-year-old Thomas Goodman was shot walking through the parking lot. Witnesses told police they saw a gray four-door vehicle, with a bunch of guys inside, chase and shoot the victim.

Police say Goodman suffered multiple gunshot wounds from a high-powered assault rifle; they believe around 50 to 60 rounds were fired at him.
