FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A massive police presence is under way at not one, but three locations in Fort Myers early Monday morning.

Detectives have crime scene tape up near City of Palms Park, Highland Avenue, and Lee Memorial Hospital.

This is massive police investigation. Fox 4 crews have gone from one scene to the next, getting you the latest information. And we are reaching out to our sources to find out what’s going on.

Police have the area roped off near the intersection of South Street and Highland Avenue. That’s where the bumper of a car is off, its windows are blown out and airbags are deployed.

Police had a chopper circling this area earlier, and they also have a K-9 unit there. Our crew saw a man being placed into the back of a police cruiser at this scene.

The other scene is on Edison Avenue next to City of Palms Park. It’s blocked off between Jackson Street and Royal Palm Avenue. We saw police there with their flashlights canvassing that area, and a handcuffed
woman being put in the back of a police cruiser.

Now over at the hospital we saw police near the emergency room entrance. They are investigating a car parked in the parking lot over there.

We are working to find out if the three different scenes are connected.
