Arrest made in shooting on Old Metro Parkway in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. —
UPDATE June 10th 2019

Police have arrested Joseph Raymond Santiago-Cruz, 26 and Brandon Louis Pagan, 21 in connection to the shooting on Friday, June 7th.

Both men have been charged with attempted felony murder and robbery without a weapon.

Police say the victim Luis Daniel Diaz-Cruz, was critically injured and transported to Lee Memorial Hospital.

Police are investigation a scene at the intersection of Hunter Street and Old Metro Parkway Friday morning.

At least six police cruisers and a Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene near the Breezewood neighborhood of Fort Myers.

Hunter Street is blocked off going eastbound while police investigate.

Officers were seen canvassing the area with flashlights and placed some evidence markers on the ground.

When the Fox 4 crew first got there, they did see an ambulance pull away.

Police have not yet commented on the scene, so information is limited at this time. Once we gather more details we will let you know.
