FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The Fort Myers Police Department has confirmed that human remains have been discovered in a remote area off Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.
Investigators responded to the an area near the intersection with Ortiz Avenue around 6 p.m. Sunday.
Officers secured the area as Detectives, Crime Scene Unit and Medical Examiner personnel processed the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
