LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — Detectives are investigating after a woman was found dead inside a garage on Christmas morning.
Deputies responded to a home on the 5300 block of Butte Street following reports of a shooting.
Deputies found the woman dead inside of the garage with a gunshot wound. Deputies said due to the nature of the incident, the Lee County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit launched an investigation.
During the investigation, detectives established probable cause, arresting Hilario Cruz. He's facing charges for manslaughter and shooting into an occupied dwelling.

The investigation is ongoing.
