CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- Punta Gorda Police are investigating an apartment complex in Punta Gorda after a five-year-old boy told his neighbors his father was dead inside.
Police have not confirmed if someone died at the Seven Palms apartments on Taylor Road.
Police have only told us they showed up to the apartment at 11:30 a.m. Sunday for a welfare check, and are now investigating.
A neighbor says the five-year-old boy's dad is a correctional officer.
