CAPE CORAL. Fla. -- Police are trying to figure out why a Cape Coral woman crashed her SUV into a parked semi truck trailer this weekend, killing her.

It happened in an industrial area at the north end of Andalusia Boulevard, just north of Kismet Parkway.

According to Cape Coral Police, sometime overnight Saturday night or early Sunday morning, a Nissan SUV crashed into the front of a vehicle transport trailer parked at the dead end of Andalusia Boulevard. Police say the front upper deck of the trailer hit the roof of the SUV.

The SUV's driver, Jacelyn Penna of Cape Coral, died in the crash. Alcohol or drugs are believed to be a factor in the crash.

Investigators say there were no signs of braking by the SUV, and the collision pushed the trailer back a foot and a half.

Police say the crash was discovered just before 2 a.m. by a passer by, but they are unsure exactly when it happened.
