CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Investigators with Cape Coral Police have charged a juvenile with stealing firearms from her grandfather.

The victim contacted police on Thursday after discovering eight firearms missing from his home in the 1300 block of SE 23rd Street.

The missing firearms included two semiautomatic handguns and six revolvers.

Further investigation led police to the victim's 15-year-old granddaughter, who lives in the home.

She was arrested and charged with 8 counts of Grand Theft of a Firearm and taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center.

None of the firearms have been recovered, and the investigation is ongoing.

Fox 4 does not identify minors under arrest unless they are charged as an adult.
