CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Police have arrested a central Florida man after they say he broke into a Cape Coral car and fell asleep inside.
24-year-old Elishia Chandler of Christmas, Florida has been charged with Burglary of a Conveyance, and Criminal Mischief.
According to Cape Coral Police, the car's owner called police after he discovered his vehicle in the parking lot of a Cape Coral Parkway East Winn Dixie, with a smashed window and somebody inside.
Responding officers say Chandler was still asleep when they arrived and he appeared to be intoxicated.
Chandler was arrested and taken to Lee County Jail.
