CAPE CORAL, Fla. — About 25 K9 teams from multiple agencies across the state of Florida will compete in this year's Florida Gulf Coast Police K9 Competition on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

K9s will compete in an obstacle course, a "hardest hitting dog competition," a fastest dog competition and a new civilian competition for the 2nd annual event at Island Coast High School in Cape Coral.

The competition supports the Holidays 4 Heroes foundation and the Cape Coral Police Department's K9 unit. It is free to attend. The event will have a bounce house for kids, multiple vendors and food trucks.
