LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Fort Myers Police say they are closing an attempted child abduction case from earlier this month.
Investigators say a girl reported a man tried to kidnap her as she walked her dog near Six Mile Cypress Parkway and Winkler Extension on May 7th.
The girl said the suspect attempted to grab her, but she fought him and got away.
An investigation proved the evidence did not support the case and the child was not in any danger.
