FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Police are investigating a shooting in the area of Michigan Avenue near Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard.
A house was seen with a bullet hole through a window on Gardenia Avenue. Fort Myers Police say a drive-by shooter fired shots in the area around 2pm Friday.
The car involved is described as a dark blue Mitsubishi SUV. Police have located the car and are currently questioning people about the incident.
Neighbors tell Fox 4 they heard multiple rapid-fire shots. Witnesses say one person was shot. Their condition is unknown.
According to Lee County Schools, Royal Palms Exceptional was briefly placed under lockdown, for about five minutes.
