FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A death investigation that was conducted Friday night is now being considered a homicide.
Lee County Deputies received a call for service on 11th Avenue in the Pine Manor Community at approximately 7:30 p.m. Neighbors said they heard two gunshots at the time.
They found a woman deceased at the scene. Neighbors told us that deputies took two crying babies from the scene and the incident involved a couple."We don't know much about them because they haven't lived here that long, but it's so sad that something like this happened, especially on holy week," said a neighbor.
LCSO has confirmed that this is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.
