Police have identified the pilot involved in a plane crash near Cape Coral Parkway on Friday, July 7th.

The aircraft was occupied by a single pilot/occupant, Daniel H. Fase, who was injured and transported by LCEMS to Lee Memorial Hospital.
Fase was the only person in the plane during the time, and was seen walking away from the wreckage. He reportedly was transported to the hospital as a trauma alert.
The FAA confirms the plane was a Cessna 172, and that they will investigate the crash.
